These are some of the typical pet sitting, pet care and dog training services we offer in Broomfield, Golden, Lakewood, Denver, Westminster, Arvada, Wheat Ridge and the West Metro Denver area. If you don’t see what you’d like, just call Dave at the number listed at the bottom of this page.
Over the years we have vacillated between charging by the animal or by time. Of Course, as Independent contractors the sitters/walkers are free to negotiate their rates with the customer, but the following is acceptable to Pearson’s Professional Pet Sitters (PPPS). We are now more focused on the time it takes as opposed to the number of animals. For example you may wish less than 30 minutes for a cat and the sitter is encouraged to work it out with you, then contact me.
Dog Obedience Training in Arvada, Golden, Lakewood, Westminster, Broomfield and West Metro Denver – Training is very important if you and your pooch plan to have an enjoyable life together. First of all, you need to decide how “trained” you want your pooch. If you are looking for a guard dog, a Seeing Eye dog or a “trained” circus animal, I am not your guy. I do not have experience in training dogs to guard people or attack or guide people and will not pretend that I do. I also have very little experience in training dogs to behave like a trained circus animal. I understand dogs and will work with you to make sure your pet does as you ask.
Most people just want a pooch that does not pull the on the walk, sits, stays and comes when called. Basic obedience type of stuff. If that’s your desire, I’m your guy.
But you don’t get to drop off your pooch and come back a week later expecting to find a well-trained dog. You have to participate! (You see, the training is as much for you as it is for your dog). Dog training is not an event that starts and finishes. It is a lifelong journey. And you need to be the journey leader.
I can train your dog or any dog to obey my commands. The key is to get him/her to obey you and your commands.
I charge $60 an hour for canine obedience training. But before I begin, I come and take a look at the pooch and you in a FREE consultation. During the consultation, you and I will agree on the scope of the service and the likely time it will take to accomplish it.
Afterward, I will send you a proposal which will include the time I think will be required to accomplish your goals and a proposed schedule and a dog training contract. If you think it’s about right, you may wish to accept it. If you have something different in mind, please propose it.

Group Dog Exercise in Arvada, Golden, Westminster, Broomfield and West Metro Denver – All dogs need exercise. Some more than others. Most dogs benefit from a “pack” environment. We will work to create the “Pack” and exercise the dogs. It is usually about an hour, off leash in a dog park or other safe area. PPPS recommends charging $20 per dog and $10 for extra dogs from the same household. Add $10 if visit is before 7am or after 9pm.
5% discount for 3+ consecutive times/week.
Private Dog Walks in Golden, Arvada, Wheatridge, Broomfield and the West Metro Denver area – Is your dog more comfortable being alone? He/she still needs exercise. If you live in our area, we will come to your home, pick up fido and take him/her for a 30 minute, on-leash, neighborhood adventure. 30 minutes is about $20.
Add $10 if visit is before 7am or after 9pm. $10 each additional dog (Same Household).

Daily In-Home Pet Visits in the Broomfield, Arvada, Golden, West Metro Denver area – All pets like visits. Dogs really like visits, especially when they are home all day alone. So do cats. If you live in our area, we will come by and make sure fido or fefe is doing fine. Each visit will last about 30 minutes and include (when applicable) play, feeding, litter/cage cleaning, yard waste cleanup. thhisis primarily where the discussion about animals or times comes in. Depending on the time it takes and what you wish done, the charge will be about $20 per 30 minutes.
Add $10 if visit is before 7am or after 9pm.
In-Home Overnight Sitting in Golden, Lakewood, Arvada, Broomfield and the West Metro Denver area – If you are going to be gone overnight or several nights, the in-home overnight sitting might just be the right option. It sort of kills two birds with one stone, so to speak. Your pets are taken care of, and so is your home. Our sitter will come to your home and spend the night(s) with your pets, provided you are in our area. The visit will include (when applicable) evening and morning private walks, feeding, litter or cage cleaning, mail and newspaper retrieval, plant watering, and light rotation, opening/closing blinds, and home security checks.
$65 per night for most homes. Call Dave at the number listed on the bottom of this page for 5% off for 7 consecutive days, 10% off for 14+ consecutive days.
Evening Pet Care in Westminster, Arvada, Golden, Broomfield or our other West Metro-Denver areas – This is a service not often asked for, but once used, it is used again and again. Pearson’s Professional Pet Services will, if you reside in our service areas, care for your pet in your (client’s) home.
$35 per evening is recommended (for up to four hours)
Drop off by 6pm, pick up by 9 pm) $10 for early/late pick up and $10 per hour if it is really late (more than an hour).

5% off for 7 consecutive days, 10% off for 14+ consecutive days.
Home Care in Lakewood, Golden, Arvada, Westminster, Broomfield and our other West Metro-Denver areas (no pets, but just want the security of somebody watching your home?) – Of course if Pearson’s Professional Pet Services is looking in on your pets, this in included for FREE. But, if you don’t have pets and just want the security of somebody looking in on your place, this service is available for a reasonable fee of about $20 per visit and includes up to 30 minutes of mail and newspaper retrieval, plant watering, light rotation, opening/closing blinds, and home security checks.
Free if combined with other pet care services.
5% off for 7 consecutive days, 10% off for 14+ consecutive days.
A typical visit takes about 30 minutes so the standard $20 woiuld be acceptable to PPPS. If more time is needed, add $1 per minute.
Sooper Dooper Pooper Scooper Yard Service in Arvada, Lakewood, Golden, Westminster, Broomfield or our other West Metro Denver areas – this is more popular in the winter for some reason. This service is included with the daily visits, but if you’d just like somebody to come by and pickup the dog do-do, well, give Pearson’s Professional Pet Services a call at the number listed at the bottom of this page and if you are in our service area, we’ll work it out. A typical service includes a minimum of about 30 minutes to accomplish, so the normal $20 is recommended for a minimum visit. Remember it takes a little time. The owner must designate how to dispose of the do-do. $20 per visit of 30 min and another $20 per additional 30 minutes is recommended
$1 per minute after first 30 minutes.

Pet Injection/Subcutaneous Shot/Fluids (with instructions from you or your Vet) in the Westminster, Golden, Arvada, Broomfield and West Metro Denver areas – We are not Veterinarians nor vet technicians, but Dave is a Red Cross Certified Pet First Aid provider and Pearson’s Professional Pet Services strives to have trained sitters/walkers available to provide for subcutaneous shots, and other medical procedures for your cat or dog per your requirements. We prefer detailed instructions from you or your vet as to how to proceed with the medical care.
$12 per occurrence
$25 if not combined with another in-home service.
Add $10 for administering fluids (with instructions from you or your Vet).
Pet Pill Administration in the Golden , Wheatridge, Broomfield, Arvada and West Metro Denver area – See above, but if your buddy needs a pill, we can administer it. Pearson’s Professional Pet Service will administer your specified medication to your cat or dog per your requirements and your vet’s instructions (providing you reside in our service area).
$8 per occurrence
$20 if not combined with another in-home service. (Vet instructions preferred.)
Pet Bath in the Arvada, Westminster, Golden, Broomfield and West Metro Denver area (in your facility or PLUS facility charges) – Pearson’s Professional Pet Services made a deal with the groomers… we don’t groom and they don’t train. But we will give you pet a bath in needed. You (or the facility) supply the stuff (Shampoo, towels, etc) and if you are in our service area, we’ll do the work. We will provide attentive shampoo bathing and drying of your dog or other pet.
And, Pearson’s Professional Pet Services will do it for only $15 per pet ($20 if not combined with another in-home service.)
Of course this amount is in addition to the cost of a facility and/or the costs to you for the shampoo and other needed materials.
Key Return or Pickup – Pick up or drop off of client’s key by pet sitter at time other than during free initial in-home consultation or completion of assignment(s).
$15 per occurrence.
Holiday Services Additional Charges (goes directly to pet sitter or pet walker) Pearson’s Professional Pet Services loves our sitters and walkers. We appreciate their time away from their families, so we seek to reward them a bit. There is an additional charge for visits on the following holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day, Christmas Day, New Years Eve Day, New Years Day.
$10 per visit on listed holidays.
