Wash your own Pooch!
Lordy, Lordy, Did you say wash my own pooch? Where? Not in the bathroom or outside. And my pooch is not particularly fond of getting a bath as I usually do it in the summer in the backyard with the garden hose which has very cold water or in the bath tub, which has a very slippery bottom… My pooch does not like cold water or slippery surfaces. Hence he/she usually tries to avoid a bath. Sometimes I send the pooch to the groomer, but not very often as it is expensive.
Now you have another option! Pearson’s Professional Pet Services has purchased (they are not cheap!) a pet wash machine which is a self service model to allow owners like you to wash their own pets (dogs mostly) on your own schedule. It takes only credit cards and the water is not cold and there is a non-slip mat on the floor to give your pooch a grip. PPPS provides he shampoo, conditioner, flea and tick treatment, towels, and whatever tools you might need to get your mutt clean as a whistle. You must provide the man (woman) power although there will be an attendant handy to assist and answer questions.
It is like an automated car wash for your dog… You are in and out in a flash!
The cost is about $1 a minute. When the machine manufacturer told me that 15 minutes was ample time, I scoffed. My Norwegian Elkhounds would take more than that, I thought. I was wrong. 15 minutes is like all day… and I was able to wash them both, dry them (with fur a flying) easily within the 15 min. And they didn’t mind a bit. In fact they liked it! Even my Greyhound didn’t seem to mind when it was his turn. There are settings for small dogs, medium dogs and large dogs and they have all been tested and provide ample time for each.

It operates with a credit card (Visa, MC, Discovery) so bring your plastic. We are not groomers but we have brushes etc if you need them. And we can offer advice which is worth every penny you pay for it. (free) We provide everything you need. The shampoo is in the water. But you can bring your own if you must. We have towels, etc… and there is a dryer in the machine. All you need is a dog.
What no plastic you say…. not to worry… we’ll take cash too (no cash guarantee card needed!). Just bring in your dog and we’ll get you going.
